Real Cofradía de La Entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén y María Santísima del Amor
The first Sunday of Easter is the symbol of Light par excellence. Ubeda is covered by the yellow shining in the brothers’ robes. This brotherhood is well-known as “El borriquillo” among the locals, it represents Jesus Christ entrance in Jerusalem. This throne is accompanied by the MaríaSantísimadel Amor Virgin.
“El Borriquillo” departs from the Trinidad church, located in the downtown. Do not miss the procession walking through “La corredera” street going ahead to the “Plaza Vázquez de Molina”.
The fireworks atnight will commemorate that Ubeda’s Easter has already started.

Information
The sculpture set represents Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey. It was sculpted by Francisco Palma Burgos (1956). The sculpture of Virgin Mary (Virgen del Amor) was sculpted by José Mª Palma Burgos (1986).
